Bullfrog Program

American Bullfrogs

American bullfrogs are an invasive species that have recently been found in the Capital Region.  In 2011, Metchosin is continuing with its bullfrog eradication program focusing on areas around Kangaroo, Lindholm and Happy Valley Roads.

In Metchosin, 241 bullfrogs were removed in 2009 and 39 bullfrogs were removed in 2008.  Most of these were found in the Lindholm Road and Happy Valley Road area.

If you think you may have bullfrogs on or near your property, please contact the Municipal Hall at 250-474-3167.
