General Local Government Elections

General Voting Day is Saturday, November 15, 2014

Vote at Metchosin Community Hall From 8:00 am to 8:00 pm.

Across BC general elections are now held every four years for mayors, councillors, regional district electoral area directors, school board trustees and Islands Trust trustees pursuant to the BC Local Government Act. The Provincial Government has produced a number of guides that voters and candidates might find helpful.

Important Dates

August 22	Nomination packages available for distribution at the Municipal Hall
September 30	List of electors available for inspection at Municipal Hall Nomination period begins at 9 am
October 10	Nomination period ends at 4 pm precisely
October 15	You must be a resident of the District of Metchosin from this day forward to be eligible to vote on general voting day Non-residents must own property in the District of Metchosin from this day forward to be eligible to vote on general voting day
November 5	Advance voting day
November 12	Advance voting day
November 15	General voting day
